We are all still doing well here in Shorewood after just one week.
Here are some shots of Ben's progression in his
accommodations. First
he started out in a crate with blankets down in the lower level next
to the sliders to the fenced backyard. He whined a little the first
two nights but only for a minute or so.

Then as we got comfortable with him we used baby gates to close off
the kitchen and he hung out there as we made, ate, and cleaned up
from
dinner. He quickly got used to the bed that was next to his food
bowls.

Then we started to let him roam the house with us and when we sit at
the computer in the office this doggie couch is right behind us. He
quickly got used to that as well.

Now for the last two nights he has been in the bedroom with us just
free to sleep where ever and that has worked fine too.
At this point his only crating is when we're gone during the day and
eventually we'll make a move toward letting him have the lower level
and gradually progressing to him having free run of the house when we
are gone.
He's a very mellow guy and a very happy guy. So far all is well
here. Thought you might like to see how comfy Ben has it here.
